Girdwood Mexican Restaurant Casa Del Sol

Casa del Sol puts forth homemade sauces, delicious food and friendly faces.

Owners Jesse and Cory were inspired by Girdwood’s restaurant scene, and wanted to complement the local flavor by adding the freshest, tastiest, south-of-the-border fare in Glacier Valley and beyond.

With Cory’s experience, list of culinary accomplishments, and Jesse’s business savvy and welcoming charm, Casa del Sol opened its doors on March 1, 2008.

Everything on the menu is made to order, sauces are made from scratch and only the freshest ingredients are used. Part of Casa’s mission is to be good patrons of the earth and purchase locally-grown and made products whenever possible.

A must try is their signature “Wet” burrito; guaranteed to fill you up. Also try their delicious taco salad; a heaping pile of fresh lettuce and all the extras made in a crispy, home-made tortilla shell. Helpful hint : Be sure to use both hands when eating the tacos!

Casa’s wine selection is comprised of some of the best wines the Northwest has to offer. This is done to help reduce the amount of fossil fuels needed for shipping, and to showcase the fine wines of our neighbors just to the south. Their house-made sangria is a wonderful accompaniment to any dish on their menu and is raved about by locals and visitors alike.

Casa’s beer menu highlights the Pacific Northwest and Mexico, and within this extensive beer menu they have added organic and gluten-free options.

Cory and Jesse believe that they can provide you with a great meal in a laid back atmosphere, while reducing their carbon footprint. All of Casa’s carry-out containers, utensils, bags and drinking straws are 100% compostable.

Dine in the restaurant and take in the warm colors which are decorated with local artists work every month. Take out is also available.
